Impression
A beautiful building situated in the ambassador area of The Hague. The building looks bigger than it actually is on the inside. After the previous bad impressions of the Dutch Crowne Plaza hotels, this is finally one that does live up to the standards. It is directly noticeable when entering this hotel, that this is a hotel that reminds you of the old fashioned family hotels.

reception
Because the hotel is somewhat smaller the reception was really nice, although you have to take care of your luggage yourself. There isn’t really a lobby, because there is no room for that, but it looks nice and English.

public areas
There aren’t many public areas next to the small sitting place at the reception. There is however a restaurant where you can sit, but you have to wait until the evening to make use of the bar, which is underground and sort of a restaurant bar. The bar being underground is really very much fun, but the hotel and the bar are worlds apart. The hotel has an air of class, but in the restaurant/bar you suddenly are in an Argentinean Grill sort of world. This is good too, but you have to love it.

rooms
The rooms are very nicely decorated and give you the true ambassador feeling. The rooms however are a bit stately. But nothing is missing in the rooms, so no negativities

halls
The hotel has got two halls, which will fit about 30 to 50 people, but they are not really broad. The hotel cannot be recommended for its halls. The hotel is a nice place to spend the night, but the familiar Crowne Plaza phenomenon returns: because of the low prices in the Crowne Plaza hotels, the visitors are sometimes a bit disappointing

situation
The situation is very nice and very favourable in respect of The Hague. The hotel has got its own parking lot, so we recommend you to come by car. The first tram stop is a bit of a walk.
