Impression
When entering the hotel by opening the connecting doors, we thought we had arrived in a palace. The hotel looks very stately and above all old, in the positive sense of the word. The hotel has got magnificent wall and ceiling painting. The doors and walls are decorated with gold leaf everywhere.

reception
Even the reception was royal, because of the servants who hold the door for you. During our first conversation with one of the staff members he told us that one of the Belgian kings ordered to build this hotel. The king wanted it next to his palace, so that he could accommodate his guests there. This way we can assure you that your stay will be even more special.

public areas
The public areas are furnitured like a palace. Chandeliers hang everywhere and a few statues of former kings are standing in the areas. The public areas are very suitable for a royal visitor and this in fact happens regularly through the royal family of Belgium.

rooms
The rooms have got the same air as the rest of the hotel. They can smell a bit funny sometimes because of the old materials used in the hotel, like the wooden floors. There is a fine bathroom in every room, although they are not very luxury.

halls
The halls aren’t really multifunctional, but they are very tasty for a classical festivity. They are only not all that big.

situation
The situation is much fun, especially because it stands almost next to the royal palace. This means that the hotel is in the centre of the city. The hotel can be easily reached by car and the representation of public transport is very good, like it is in all of Brussels.
